De bonnes cordes, sauf...

sauf le corde SI grave qui sonne vraiment bizarre, brouillon, manquant de netteté, avec un grave tournant comme un effet permanent de phasing de mauvaise qualité !!
Je l'ai changé par une autre corde de marque inconnue et tout est rentré dans l'ordre !!
Par contre les autres cordes ont vraiment une belle sonorité, elles apportent un grain, une sorte de chaleur que je n'avais pas sur les aciers sur le jeu aux doigts ou au médiator.
Elles ont un bel équilibre sonore à vide et sur tout le manche !
Vraiment dommage pour la corde de SI car sinon, c'était un sans faute

If you're used to playing coated strings, you're going to have a rough (literally) time with these.

I've used nickel strings mainly before purchasing these for my Ibanez BTB, and it feels like I've made a switch from 360p to 1080p HD.

HOWEVER, it seems that the super crystal clear sound doesn't last too long. These will sound super bright for a week and a half or so, and degrade down to almost nickelwound like sound.

The best of the standards!

Daddario Pro Steels are the best standard strings in the market nowadays specially for metal music if you want to appear in the mix. Their balance are very good even for low tuning basses, unless you tune it 2 steps down I would recommend a custom gauged string set.
Also is very important to mention their durability, specially for musicians on the road. They can last several concerts without loosing the brightness and of course the tuning.
The strings come in a plastic bag to prevent corrosion different from strings wrapped and packed in a paper envelope. You can open your strings even after several years of its purchase and it will still remain fresh, like new.
So if you´re a musician looking for a brighter and punchier sound with rich harmonics, Daddario Pro Steels are the strings you´re looking for!

*The Super Long scale from Daddario is suitable for 35" basses or 34" basses with string through body bridge.

I have been using Daddario pro steels on most of my basses for years after trying most of the most popular brands, coated un coated, nickel, flatwounds and nylon wraps but these suit my set up perfectly. They can just cut through the mix so well without being overly loud. The clear piano tone is there and using palm muting you can get that low thump when needed. The harmonics just jump out crystal clear. And the tone stays consistent all through their life which seems to go on for ever and ever, which makes them even better value as you dont have to change them as often as other strings. And as always Thomann are spot on with price and prompt delivery.
