This hand guard is exactly as advertised: provides perfect protection, is super easy to put on and take off and does not leave a mark or residue. The ease of use means you can use it for practice or rehearsal and in 2 seconds take it off for a performance. The black model has a nice surface texture that is comfortable to hold and provides a secure grip. Some have reported a positive affect to their tone. The difference may be down to a matter of taste. If you use a hand guard this one works the BEST and is worth the price.
