flûte à bec alto performante

Flûtiste amateur de niveau avancé, je recommande cette flûte pour l'interprétation du répertoire baroque. Non seulement, elle est totalement réussie d'un point de vue esthétique (érable teinté dans sa couleur naturelle), mais elle est très homogène dans l'étendue de sa tessiture et offre une jolie couleur de son avec suffisamment de profondeur et de clarté. Les réponses dans l'aigu sont très bonnes et l'érable est recommandé par certains facteurs de flûte pour sa bonne sonorité. Bref, un produit à la hauteur et d'un très bon rapport qualité/prix !

fabulous recorder

It's a fabulous recorder, I treated myself to a soprano and an alto. The sound is wonderful and the recorders speak easily. They really are very well made. These recorders come in a sturdy case. The cases have very thick padding in the lid that covers the recorder, but no padding underneath the recorder, which I find a bit weird. But there's a much bigger problem. I think it's the glue that is used in the production of the cases that causes the stong chemical smell, and it is really awful. It even catches me in the back of my throat. I've stopped using the original cases. The one star is about the case, not the recorder itself.

I am a beginner solo player wanting a good wooden alto recorder. Lots of research and this was my choice. I am not disappointed. I have almost finished breaking it in. This recorder has a beautiful mellow sound The low notes are full and resonant. The high notes are clear. It has been frustrating to only play it for a short time each day. Further more, Thomann's correspondence has been excellent, delivery time was amazingly swift to Australia and the price was a massive saving for this pensioner.Thank you Thomann and Moeck.

A very good product

The very first recorder that I own after a year practicing with plastic from Aulos. Aesthetically speaking, this records has two colour tones, one for the block and one for the rest, which is pleasant to look at. After a month of playing in, here are my feedbacks:
- The sound is softer than plastic recorder.
- The higher notes require precise breath pressure (less tolerant than the plastic recorder but again more control on the "colour" of the note)
- The condensation is less of a nuisance than the plastic recorder.

Although I love this recorder, I would still stick to the plastic recorder for long practice session and reserve this wooden instrument to "perform" once in a while.
