The Hellraiser C-1 LH is a great guitar considering the price point. The EMG pickups are not to everyone's taste, but personally I love them - good, tight response with plenty of bite and excellent noise suppressing qualities. Coil tapping is a useful bonus too, which expands the tonal possibilities. The mahogany body and set neck provide plenty of nice sustain, with a warm mellow tone. The Schecter locking tuners work well and do what they're supposed to, and the quilted maple top is gorgeous, with a flawless finish. The abalone binding is nicely applied, although I would prefer not to have it around the headstock, but that's a minor quibble. Likewise the Gothic Cross fret markers are well, done - these wont appeal to everyone, but as I play in a Gothic metal band, I like them! The neck is surprisingly chunky, yet still quite comfortable. I have small hands, yet don't find it problematic, but some shredders might prefer something slimmer. I've owned some high end guitars that don't come close to matching the Hellraiser. Snap one up!
