..now i find my other reverbs boring. I don't see much love for this, but the Sinkhole is a truly unique reverb pedal. The algorithm itself is very refined and can go from very subtle to infinite /freeze trails. There is no EQ control but it's very well balanced with a slight mid-focused character. So very natural & soft sounding that sits so well in a mix. With Reverb knob at 0 you start with medium room verb with short decay. You still get "normal" cave/ hall style reverbs until noon. Past noon, the decay changes and it starts droning and laying there without never getting in the way. Mod knob controls the rate of the chorus, it's beautiful and never go too crazy. Feedback knob is where it gets swirly and gooey. It adds movement to the trails and that's the point of this pedal IMO. The built-in preamp is a strange addition for a reverb but it sounds SO GOOD, either on it's own or to serve the feedback. In 9V, it does add little gain when cranked. I love the "modern" features like analog dry through and that it lets you choose true bypass or buffered bypass. The switch is mechanical but very soft and quiet. You can get 100% wet on the same Mix knob, 50/50 dry-wet is at 3 o'clock. It won't do classic verbs like Spring, Plate or Lexicon style, but if you can live with a mono pedal, it's an amazing reverb like no other.
