Being a huge fan of System Of A Down, my dream guitar is the Iceman. Daron Malakian really made me fall in love with that guitar. But as you might or not know, these guitars aren't being made anymore (if you don't count the recent 7 string Iceman Ibanez started manufacturing), the only Icemen (?) I found were on eBay, and were worth more than a thousand dollars, which I couldn't afford.
At one point, I stumbled onto this beauty of a thing. Was this it ? Was my first guitar actually going to be my dream guitar ? Well, yes and no. It is actually a Paul Stanley (Kiss) signature. But I didn't care. It's still an Iceman, right ?
Welp, it has got a little difference compared to the regular Icemen, and a major flaw (for me at least), one of the strap holders is placed very awkwardly, at the top left part of the guitar. So, playing sitting down is okay, but as soon as I stand up, playing becomes very difficult as the guitar has severe neck dive. The neck doesn't hold still, so I constantly have to hold it up with the palm of my left hand, which limits my playing a lot... (can't move freely on the neck, can't mute the 6th string with my thumb etc...) So I either have to play with the guitar very very high up, or play sitting down. :/ I might have to do some work on it to fix the issue (adding weight, shifting the strap holder's position...)
Other than that, a very awesome guitar, sounds extremely good for it's price, and is just making my guitar playing experience quite enjoyable.
