For the price, Mackie Chromium offers 4 polar patterns, with really decent quality.
However, when recording with live background music via AUX (3,5mm) using the background music from the laptop directly while playing bass or guitar, or even with singing, it often doesn't work properly. It's either the background music completely muted, or the mic quality for voice and instrument become poor. I tried figuring it out for hours, but still couldn't solve the problem.
However, recording with just singing (mic) and with a-6,3 mm- guitar or bass was really decent. Although sometimes we have to watch out for the feedback noise by fine tuning it. Otherwise, it is a fun mic for beginners to casually jam with friends or with your loved ones.
