I bought this for the Ibanez tsa 15h coupled with the 50w Egnater Tweaker cab and it's only ever been rock solid for me, despite only just fitting into the Tweaker's jack recess. Important dimensions are:
From top of jack plug to bottom of plastic screw cover = 56mm.
From back of jack plug (plastic side) to where plug exits front part of metal mould = 18mm. Study your amp and cab recesses!
It has unscrewable ends which help to hold the cable and underneath it seems well held in place with metal crimps, although I'm unsure how one would repair it.
It seems that there is a hard plastic cover clipped to the actual jack plug which hides the connections. I don't know if the cover can be unclipped or if it's also glued on but despite giving the impression it might be removable, it doesn't actually appear to move and as of yet I haven't dared to wiggle a knife blade in there to try to prise it off.
It's certainly not ideal and I suspect it would have to be butchered to gain access. In any case it isn't like other jacks where you unscrew and can immediately acess all the guts and that's disappointing. I'd rather have a cable which the manufacturer didn't made it a pain to repair...
... but, I don't think it'll need repairing anytime soon anyway. Everything about it seems quite robust. I have no qualms regarding solidity or quality, just the design which I feel could have been better.
At the end of the day, it's all about value for money and as inexpensive cables go, you'll be hard pushed to find a more solid L-jack speaker cable at this price.
