Great Horn for a great balane between sound, ergonomics and quality
Alex Krvs 09.04.2023
I bought this saxophone almost a year ago and i bought it as my first professional level saxophone.

The first thing i noticed was that it looks as if it is laqcuered an although it is not laqcuered, it is deffinetely protected by somekind of water based vernice and it is deffinetely not bare brass.
After a Year of playing i havent even seen a hint of green patina anywhere although its not shiny any more..

The sound is really warm but not as dark as a rampone and cazane R1 jazz. It is not a focused sound but a wide sound. The ergonomics and its sound are very similar to a late 1950 mkVI selmer five digit i played.
When i bought it i went to my technician to have it set up because it was leaking and was like every other new horn that is also shipped. Since then its exactly the same. Never had a problem and i practice about 8 hours a day and always carry it arround in my backpack.
I replaced its case with a hightech bam case. Its case is really good and solid but i wanted a backpack kind of case with extra pockets.

The tube and the bell also appears to be very similar to a markVI selmer. It is deffinetely not like a cannonball or a rampone and cazani and that Alsos means that it doesnt need a not of air to get a response. Its response is very easy.

Overall i think its the best horn out there if you want to balance a good sound with ergonomics and quality of materials at this price.
Yes there are better horns that are more expensive and yes at this price if you want to sacrifice ergonomics and quality of materials there are also better sounding horns than this at this price.
But sound is clearly a subjective opinion based on how i listen.
