J'avais déjà un celestion rubis en 35w 12" 16 ohms, l'excellence pour un son jazzy car celui ci ne tordant pas facilement.
Je recherchais un son plus dans les médiums et plus "serré " pour mon Princeton (5f2a) avec un crunch à bas volume, j'ai donc opté ce HP de 8 pouces, il fait le job sans être transendant , le son est bien défini sans être brouillon ni trop baver mais pour son tarif c'est carrément bien 👍
Un achat qui l'a fait.

Incredible 8" speaker!

I've purchased this speaker to replace the stock 8" speaker in my Vox AC4TV8 tube amp. To be honest there was not a huge choice of 8" and 16 Ohm speakers but it definitely gave my amp a new life making it sound like having a larger diameter speaker. It definitely provided more bottom end and makes the amp sound more dynamic.

The construction is pretty robust, the speaker has a proper weight and for this price - I really see no cons.

a got to have 8 incher!!

Nothing in a 8 inch format get's you closer to a full mature sound.
Had to swap a crappy 8inch speaker and bumped onto this one.
MAYOR IMPROVEMENT!!!!
Does not have the punchyness of a great 10" set, nor the balls of the famous 12"s but it does have a great (vintage-midrangy) sound.
Multiple of these little gems do sometimes make heads turn around and stare your way.
A benefit in most cases is the lower sensitivity, which prevents local law enforcers to ring your bell and saves you a visit to the weekly hearing-impaired-club when turning your amp up to get that nice break-up from the power tubes.

Bought it for my diy 1watt combo amp! Great sound and easy to drive with one watt.
Not much to compare it to, but I did some reading/viewing of other people’s comparisons before.
I got a really nice raspy blues tone! So I’m happy
