Very Good pickup!

Well I bought this pickup to fit it on a Hofner classical guitar. I must say that set up was really easy and I was mesmerized by the end result.

First of all the sound is clear, and very transparent. It doesn't color the tone in any way and in fact the character of the guitar shines through the amplified sound. It is very sensitive to dynamics and very feedback friendly, meaning that unless you crank the volume more than 3/4 up, the guitar will be controllable.

The only thing I wished for is better adhesive tape for the volume wheel unit, but this was easily solved by using industrial grade double sided tape.

All in all an amazing product, which I would fit on any classical guitar regardless of value. It will do it justice!

Stunning, beautiful sound

I had this installed on my Flamenco guitar and what can I say?........

It's mesmerizing; just so beautiful. Sweet, full, articulate and very natural sounding. Yes, not as good as a mic'ing the guitar, but for gigging purposes it is just perfect. Extremely close to the actual sound of my guitar. Sooooo happy with it. Well done L.R. Baggs.

Boxy, thin and wildly overpriced

I bought this and tried in in a number of positions but it suffers on the EQ curve in 2 places, the midrange which is simultaneously boxy and thin with piercing treble.
It also feedbacks like crazy at normal volumes and I would suggest either using a Piezo for live or a condensor mic for recording.
