Clean and Simple Sax Swab

My tutor suugested I buy a crook (neck) swab for my new alto Saxophone and I bought this one while I was buying a few more expensive items from Thomann.

It is made of a soft material, which seems to be very absorbent, and the weight on the end of the cord is heavy and the cloth is strongly attached to the thread. It's a simple device that works efficiently and is essential for keeping the crook clean and gunge free.

My only issue is that it has the Thomann name, telephone number and website address clearly printed on one side of the cloth. This is great for a quick reminder of how to contact Thomann (but I have this information readily available on my computer browser).

My view is that if I am going to have accessories with advertising on them, then they should be offered free, as promotional products, and not purchased.

But it's a good product that does what it claims to do.

Very good cleaning cloth

The cloth is made of a durable material that absorbs the humidity in the saxophone very well. The suction capacity is considerable. I only can recommend this peace for daily use with every woodwind instrument.

besser als andere Wischer

Nachdem sich bei meinem alten Wischer nach gut 7 Jahren die ersten Fäden lösten, war es Zeit für eine Neuanschaffung. Dem Wischer von Thomann wollte ich eine Chance geben, weil ich von den hauseigenen Produkten eine sehr gute Qualität gewohnt bin. Meine Erwartungen wurden sogar noch übertroffen. Was diesen Wischer von der Konkurrenz abhebt, sind vor allem das dickere Material, welches deutlich mehr Feuchtigkeit aufnehmen kann und die solidere Verarbeitung, die durch eine sehr stabile Vernähung des Randes auffällt.
Wer einen S-Bogen-Wischer sucht, sollte diesen hier auf jeden Fall auf dem Zettel haben.
