Heads made of goat parchment, hand-hammered copper shells and timpani feet made of brass (or aluminum if desired) as a link between the instrument and the podium combine to create the typical Viennese timpani sound that Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss so appreciated. The technically uncomplicated tuning mechanism guarantees almost maintenance-free playing. The hand-signed nameplate identifies each of our instruments as unique, handmade in Austria
