The Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro MK2 is the missing piece of my setup, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with them. I already had the MixPre-3 II running my Sennheiser MKH-50 and Shure SM7DB, so I needed headphones that could keep up with that level of clarity and detail. After a lot of searching, these were the obvious choice—and they absolutely deliver.
First off, they’re shockingly easy to drive. The MixPre-3 II has no issue powering them, and they sound phenomenal straight out of it. What really blew me away is the airiness—it feels like I’ve got high-end speakers floating right next to my ears. This is my first open-back pair of headphones at this level, and the sense of space they create is just unreal. Everything sounds so natural, spacious, and effortless, and it’s made a huge difference in how I listen to and work with audio.
Then there’s the build quality, which is just next level. These feel like something that should cost 20 times more. The materials are premium across the board—leather, metal, everything just screams quality. They’re also way more robust than any other headphones I’ve used, yet they’re still light and ridiculously comfortable. The ear cushions? I could wear them for days without any discomfort. Softest things I’ve ever put on my head, period.
Even the cable is perfect. It’s a solid two meters, routes around my desk easily, and just adds to the overall premium feel. Plus, the protective case they come with is top-tier—keeps them safe, organised, and makes them feel like a proper high-end product.
This is the best complete headphone package I’ve ever come across. If you’ve got a serious setup and need headphones that can truly match the quality of your interface and mics, this is the one.

Sitzen sehr bequem auf dem Kopf und passen gut. Klang ist für EDM und Trap etc. gut geeignet. Klingen den NDH30 ähnlich. Die DT1990MK2 sind aber vieeeeeeeel komfortabler und beim Bass bei einigen wenigen Liedern einen ticken vollumfänglicher und damit besser. Die NDH30 scheitern alleine schon am Kabel und dass es rechts sitzt und sind unbequem as f"§$"§$.
Die Mitten und die Klangbühne der Audezees aus der Überschrift sind besser als bei Beyerdynamic. Der Bass ist bei ihnen nicht leicht überbetont wie beim Beyerdynamic DT1990MK2 was Geschmacksache ist. Allerdings sind sie deutlich teurer als der DT1990MK2 und der audezee MM100 kann nicht mit dem DT1990MK2 mithalten.
Die Beyerdynamic Webseite ist schrott. Nirgends steht welche Earpads in der PAckung der DT1990MK2 neutral und welche bassslastig sind.
Die mit den wenigen 4 Löchern sind neutral und die mit vielen Löchern basslastig.
Für was man die kleinen Kabel an jeder Ohrmuschel rausstehen lassen hat ist unpraktisch, da sie von Kleinkind oder durch hängenbleiben Schaden nehmen können. Unnötiger Design Schnickschnack.

Repose très confortablement sur la tête et s'adapte bien. Le son est bien adapté à l'EDM et au trap, etc. Son similaire à celui du NDH30. Mais les DT1990MK2 sont bien plus confortables et les basses sur quelques morceaux sont un peu plus complètes donc meilleures. Le NDH30 échoue simplement à cause du câble et du fait qu'il se trouve à droite et est inconfortable comme f"§$"§$. Les médiums et la scène sonore des Audezees du titre sont meilleurs que ceux de Beyerdynamic. Les basses ne sont pas légèrement exagérées comme sur le Beyerdynamic DT1990MK2, c'est une question de goût. Cependant, ils sont nettement plus chers que le DT1990MK2 et l'audezee MM100 ne peut pas suivre le DT1990MK2. Le site Beyerdynamic est de la merde. Nulle part il n’est indiqué quels coussinets du package DT1990MK2 sont neutres et lesquels sont riches en basses. Ceux avec quelques 4 trous sont neutres et ceux avec de nombreux trous sont riches en basses. Il n'est pas pratique de laisser les petits câbles dépasser de chaque oreillette, car ils pourraient être endommagés par les jeunes enfants ou se faire coincer. Des fioritures de conception inutiles.

Die DT 1990 Pro MKII habe ich mir ausschließlich für die Nutzung am E-Piano (Yamaha P-525) zugelegt. Hier funktioniert der Hörer hervorragend aufgrund der niedrigen Impedanz mit den ab Werk montierten Ohrpolstern.
Auch im Mixing (sonst mit Audeze LCD-X) sind die ersten Ergebnisse zufriedenstellend, für meinen Geschmack löst er sehr transparent und fein auf. Durch SoundID Reference lässt sich der Frequenzgang noch ein Stück weiter optimieren, er ist jedoch ab Werk schon sehr gut!
Bequem und relativ leicht ist er auch. Danke an Thomann für die Beratung hierzu und die Kaufempfehlung, die ich voll unterschreiben kann.

Light on the head an covers the hole ear. Sound is ackurat and pretty flat curved, high end is light and quite silky. Big improvement to get the ohm down to 30. Big plus , hands upp. Heads upp!!!
Lumière sur la tête et couvre le trou de l'oreille. Le son est précis et assez plat et courbé, le haut de gamme est léger et assez soyeux. Grosse amélioration pour ramener l'ohm à 30. Gros plus, levez la main. Attention !!!
